Alcoholic Beverage Guidelines

I.Policy:
In keeping with The Conference Center policy, alcoholic beverages my be served at events in The Conference Center only when deemed appropriate by the Conference Center Director of the City of Clinton.
  
II.Procedures:
All requests for service of alcoholic beverages at catered events in the Conference Center must complete the Request for Alcoholic Beverage Service in the Conference Center and submit it to the Conference Center office, PO Box 1177, Clinton, OK 73601. Necessary approvals must be obtained before any event is officially scheduled. If the event is approved for the service of alcoholic beverages, the following requirements will govern the service of alcohol at the event.
  
III.Requirements for Events Serving Alcoholic Beverages:
  A.The individual or agency sponsoring the event assumes responsibility for compliance with all Oklahoma laws and City of Clinton policies governing the dispensing and serving of alcoholic beverages.
  B.No alcoholic beverages may be sold without a license. A caterer having the required licenses to serve the alcoholic beverages is required for events offering “CASH” bar(s), or events requiring the pre-purchase of a ticket (or the purchase of a ticket at the door.), at which, once entry is made alcoholic beverages are available. Sale of alcoholic beverages must be arranged for and purchased through a licensed caterer of alcoholic beverages.
  C.Only persons of legal drinking age may possess, be served, or be permitted to consume alcoholic beverages (to include 3.2 beer). Signs to this effect must be posted at the event.
  D.Events where alcoholic beverages are served may not be open to the pubic.
  E.No City of Clinton funds may be used to purchase alcoholic beverages.
  F.No alcoholic beverages shall be made available before 4:00 p.m. on normal City of Clinton workdays (Monday through Friday). No alcoholic beverages may be served on Sunday.
  G.When alcoholic beverages are served, non-alcoholic beverages and food must also be made available to guests.
  H.Alcoholic beverages are not allowed outside the designated room(s) for the event.
  I.The Conference Center reserves the right to control the time and length of an event in which alcohol is served. The Conference Center further reserves the right to deny service to individuals and to discontinue the service of alcohol.
